Kelly Copp
Owner & Funeral Director

Kelly was born and raised in Watertown, New York. After graduation Kelly attended SUNY Brockport, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. She went on to the Simmons Institute of Funeral Service, graduating in 2008.

Kelly completed her residency at the Brew-Finch Funeral Homes in Auburn, New York. She then moved to the Southern Tier area, working as a funeral director for two different firms over a period of two and half years. Kelly joined the staff of Phillips Funeral Home in March of 2012. In 2014 Kelly was presented the opportunity to purchase the funeral homes alongside her partners, Garrett and Pete. Kelly currently co-owns, Phillips Funeral Home, Carpenter's Funeral Home in Corning and Flint Funeral Home in Addison.

Kelly is a graduate of the 2014 inaugural class of the New York State Funeral Directors Association Leadership Academy. The Leadership Academy covers pressing issues facing funeral directors and business professionals alike. The educational program was designed to identify NYS licensed funeral directors of excellence who have the potential to become leaders in local, state, and national funeral director associations.

Kelly is a certified Celebrant, and as such is authorized to officiate at funerals and other life events.

Kelly, her husband Dan, children, Evelyn, Ophelia and Oliver and step-daughter, Adah reside in Corning. They are very active in the greater Corning community. Kelly is an active member of the Corning Rotary Club, also participating on the Membership Committee. In her spare time, she loves going to the gym, being outside, reading, cooking and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Affiliations and Volunteer Activities

Kelly is a member of the New York State Funeral Directors Association, and the National Funeral Directors Association.

Kelly is a member of the Corning Rotary Club, where she serves on the Board of Directors as Club Service Chair, and participates on the Membership Committee.
